COVID-19 has already had major effects on the way people work today, with a significant section of the workforce adopting remote working strategies. And, as the country reopens, we can expect to see major changes for the companies that are planning a return to the office.  How will business owners reconfigure their current spaces to comply with current social distancing guidelines? Will they need to buy or lease new spaces?  How will that lead to changes in the commercial real estate sector?

In an interview with Mortgage Professional America‘s Ryan Smith, McBride Corporate Real Estate President Robert T. Tillsley, SIOR spoke about changes we may see, including companies relocating, “hoteling” or reserving time in the office, and downsizing office space.
